Old Glory Trail Mix

trail mixIngredients:
1/2 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup dried blueberries
1/2 cup dried cherries
3/4 cup roasted soybeans
3/4 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Optional, but really good:
1/4 cup blue and red m&m’s

Keep the energy level high on your weekend excursions with trail mix customized for the Fourth of July. Kids are just as good at making this mix as they are at munching it down, so put them on duty for measuring and mixing. Somebody needs to take on the responsibility of pulling out only the red and blue M&Ms — and what should you do with the unpatriotic-colored M&Ms? I bet you can think of something.
